structures and objects abandoned by humans are suddenly given time to breathe. they now exist in stasis, at a moment in time. their abandonment implies that their failure was let go and put to rest. they may stand as a testament to the past but are ultimately forgotten.
it’s a solution applicable to both satellites shot into a graveyard orbit at the end of their life cycle as well as our own problems and emotions left behind at the door.
